The 2013 Women Composers Festival of Hartford presents a day-long conference on topics pertaining to music by female composers, including presentations and lecture recitals covering a full gamut of historical, musicological, and theoretical subjects. This academic forum includes four sessions of presentations and lecture-recitals, including guest composer Dr. Hilary Tann, and a multi-media presentation of Vox Novus’ 60×60 Athena Mix.
The WCForum takes place Saturday, March 9, from 8:00AM to 6:00PM, in Wilde Auditorium at the University of Hartford. Registration for the conference is $20, or $15 for seniors and students, which includes refreshments throughout the day. Tickets may be purchased in advance at EventBrite.
