Charter Oak Cultural Center

This year we’re proud to collaborate with Charter Oak Cultural Center to present two concerts – the Local Composers Concert on Wednesday, March 6, 7:30PM, and the Dahlia Duo‘s Flute Works Concert on Friday, March 8, 7:30PM. Charter Oak is a beautiful and historic events center fostering social justice and cultural outreach in the downtown Hartford region. Charter Oak’s goals are ” 1) To provide wide access to the arts for all who wish to engage in them, regardless of income 2) To do the work of social justice through the arts 3) To celebrate the heritage of our historic building and to preserve it in perpetuity.”

The Women Composers Festival of Hartford promotes the music of contemporary and historical women composers.

The WCFH embraces diversity of race, ethnicity, and ability, and empowers artists from underrepresented groups who identify as women, including transgender and gender-fluid individuals, women of color, indigenous groups, LGBTQ, and the differently abled. We warmly invite and welcome all attendees. Our annual Festival is accessible for all those with mobility, visual, and/or hearing impairments.

The Americans with Disabilities Act Grievance Procedure:
Complaints concerning discrimination on the basis of disability by the Women Composers Festival of Hartford may be sent to Deborah Szajnberg at womencomposersfestivalhartford@gmail.com. Our ADA Coordinator will contact the complainant within 15 calendar days after receipt of the complaint to discuss the matters raised in the complaint, and will respond in writing within 15 days of the discussion.
