Celebrate an evening of diverse orchestral music on Thursday, February 24th, featuring the Hartt Independent Chamber Orchestra. The evening’s program includes a varied selection of works covering the broad spectrum of orchestral writing by today’s women composers. Featured on the concert is our 2010 Composition Competition winner – Sang Mi Ahn, a doctoral student at University of Indiana and prolific composer of chamber orchestral works. The program also features works by our 2010 resident composer, Gilda Lyons, Jessica Rudman, and Eun Sook Baek.

The Women Composers Festival of Hartford promotes the music of contemporary and historical women composers.
